Obituary of Ron Pitts
Ron (R.J.) Pitts, 55, of Clinton, Missouri, died Monday afternoon, May 14, 2007, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Mo.
He was born August 6, 1951, in Rapid City, South Dakota, the son of Eddie Arnold Pitts and Maxine Cecelia Wortman. On September 5, 1970, in Clinton, Mo., he married Donna Lou Green who survives of the home in Clinton.
Ron had worked as an electrician at the Kansas City Power & Light station in Montrose, Mo., for 30 years. He was a member of Electrical Workers Local 412. He was also a member of the Clinton Elks Lodge #1034 and the Meadow Lake Country Club, where he was an avid golfer. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, tennis, and snow skiing.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Kevin Pitts and his wife Stacy, Clinton; his parents Eddie A. and Maxine Pitts, Clinton; a brother, John Pitts and his wife Sharon, Bolivar, Mo.; 2 sisters, Rosemarie Smith, Clinton, and Felicity Castiglia, Elkview, West Virginia; 2 granddaughters, Raegan and Ryan Pitts, Clinton; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Henry Pitts.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 17, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, with Rev. Don Eaton officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Kevin and Stacy Pitts Wednesday evening after 3:00 p.m. Mr. Pitts will lie in state from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Clinton Elks Lodge #1034 in care of the funeral home.
