Obituary of Eva R. Wilson

Eva R. Wilson, 80, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Friday evening, June 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 12, 1941 in Grundy County, Mo., the daughter of Willam Hoover Dryer and Margaret Rozella (Baker) Dryer. She married Richard James “R.J.” Wilson in Wheeling, Mo., on October 23, 1958. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2005. “Holding hands again”. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton, Christian Women’s Club, various Bible study groups, the Round Table group, a member of the Lakelanders Camping Club, the Golden Valley Squares, and a long time member of TOPS in Windsor. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, and various card games. Eva enjoyed traveling, family camping trips, everywhere from the oceans to the majestic Rocky Mountains. Her family brought her the most joy throughout her life. Surviving are two sons, Richard Wayne Wilson (Amy), Chillicothe, Mo., and Russell James Wilson (Cheri), Clinton, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Anthony Lee Landes (Jackie), Richard Kenneth Wilson (Rachel), Tracy Lynn (Landes) Bergschneider (Phillip), Jeremy James Wilson, Karlee Katherine (Wilson) Bohannan (Troy), Jeffrey Wayne Wilson and Chance William Wilson (Chelsea); 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry E. Dryer (Bette), Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Linda K. (Dryer) Rackers, Jefferson City, Mo. In addition to her husband R.J., she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Robin LeAnne (Wilson) Landes on December 12, 1999; and two great-grandsons, Christopher and Levi Wilson in 2009; and one sister-in-law, Geraldine Reeter. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Interment will be in the Englewood Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
