Obituary of Carolyn C. Campbell

Carolyn Connilas Campbell, 77, of Clinton, Missouri passed away early Thursday morning, October 7, 2021 at her home with her family at her side. She was born October 7, 1944 in Manilla, Arkansas, the daughter of Billy Paul Hill and Leona Frances (Arnold) Hill. She married Charles William Campbell on July 13, 1963 in Clinton, Mo. He survives of the home. Carolyn was a former member of the Assembly of God Church in Reno, Nevada. She was a born again Christian and a God fearing woman. Most important to her was her family, spending quality time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed being outdoors and also playing bingo. She had a special bond with her pug dogs. She was a valuable employee of JC Penney, receiving numerous awards through the company, retiring in 2004. She worked as a waitress for various restaurants and did monogramming while living in Reno, Nevada. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Charles William Campbell, Jr., (Patti M.), Kansas City, Mo., and Wesley Paul Campbell (Tonya), Clinton, Mo.; one daughter, Loretta Velazquez (Anthony), Clinton, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Calvin, Jaylene, Janna, Caleb, Ryan, Jill, Courtney, Aaron and Ezekiel; five great-grandchildren; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Calvin Lee Hill and Paul Wayne Hill; and one sister, Paulie Joy Hill. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.
