Obituary of Reverend Benjamin C. Teague

Reverend Benjamin C. “Ben” Teague, 68, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Thursday morning, September 9, 2021 at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. He was born October 5, 1952 in Jacksfork, Mo., the son of Carl Washington Teague and Armenda Jane (Fears) Teague. Reverend Ben received his Doctorate of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He pastored numerous churches around the state of Missouri. He was also employed as Chaplain with the Golden Valley Hospice, previously Twin Lakes Hospice. He enjoyed fishing, tying his own flys, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of the Funeral Honors Team, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Post 1894, Clinton, Mo., serving as the Chaplain. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Sherry Ellen Dixon on November 26, 1968 in St. Clair County, Illinois, and she survives of the home. In addition to his wife, surviving are two sons, Robert Dwayne Teague, Southern Mo., and William David Teague (Penny), Clinton, Mo.; one daughter, Tammy Dawn Vandevoir (Gene), Roanoke, Texas; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Military services will be at the chapel under the direction of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1894, Clinton. Rev. Teague's memorial service will be recorded and placed onto the website for viewing beginning the following day. The family suggests memorial contributions to One Tribe Foundation or the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1894 Honor Guard, Clinton. These donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
