Obituary of Vicki Carol Mackey
Vicki Carol Mackey, 67, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Friday evening, February 5, 2021 at the Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born September 7, 1953 in Kansas City, Ks., the daughter of Harry Edwin Deringer and Pauline (Peek) Deringer. She married Donald E. “Don” Mackey on June 25, 1972 in Overland Park, Ks. He survives of the home. Vicki was employed in the lodging department with Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Mo. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, socializing, the Wizard of Oz and Gone With The Wind movies. She was a giant Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. Watching or listening to every game from 1967 to present. In addition to her husband, surviving are two sons, Donald E. Mackey, II, and wife Megan, Clinton, Mo., and Aaron Allen Mackey and wife Valerie, Pikeville, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Alexander Mackey, Kairi Mackey, Aiden Mackey, Allyson Mackey, Jackson Mackey and Carly Mackey; two brothers, Mark Edwin Deringer, Arma, Ks., and Kerry Joe Deringer and wife Sherri, Leavenworth, Ks.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and neighbors she thought of as family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ron Steven Deringer. Memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.
