I'm so so sorry for your loss of a great man. I first met Leonard at the Cue Ball Lounge across from the Ford Plant where I worked. Oh yes we argued over the price of beer and most of all who was the better racer!! Of course he always got the last word in!! He taught me alot about racing along with another good friend Crash Ainsworth. I can see all the maintence men sitting around the table complaining about something at work!! The good ole days, RIP my friend and blow the dirt off of the tracks again!!

Dad - your children and wife love you unconditionally, you protected us in life and we will protect you in death and I'll continue to watch over the Hunt name and family that you created here.
We love that we called you almost everyday, spent time with you whenever we could, drove home to sit and watch tv, help with projects or just have dinner with you guys.
Your pride and joy, Millie Rae, keeps asking for her papa! We will continue to show her photos of you two and of you two dancing for hours in the living room.
Momma will be forever taken care of, I promise dad... that's a promise I gave you last week and I'll continue todo that no matter what.
You're amazing pops, the best father a son could ask for. Thank you for teaching me the meaning of TRUE family, work ethic, caring and taking care of people!
I can't wait to see you again dad!

I knew Leonard and the rest of his family in the early 1960s as neighbors on Franklin Street in Clinton, MO. He was a good kid and we had a lot of fun while they lived there. The last time that I talked to him was when he called to tell me that his brother Bobby had died. I'm sorry that we lost track of each other but that's the way life is. Good memories.

Leonard you will be missed so much! I have so many wonderful memories growing up with Megan and Matt and you were in all of them. You were such a family man and always there adding to the chaos that we started that day! I will miss the 4th of July, pool parties, bonfires, and Halloween parties that you always had each year! It will never be the same without you, it is still hard to believe your not here. I will miss our silly conversations that we had. It's like Carla knew we were up to something because she would look over and say, "be good or don't start any mischief," and of course we give her the innocent look. Leonard your family will be well looked over, we got this. Rest now handsome man, love you always and forever! To Carla, Matt and Megan I love you all! You know I am always here for you and always will be! I am so sorry and words will never be able to express it enough!

Days before Leonard passed, he asked his son, Matt, to take care of their family (Carla, his wife, Meg, his daughter, and Millie, his granddaughter) the pride and joys of his life.
The Hunt family is a close family and well respected family in the Kearney community. Leonard adored his family and enjoyed going places with them and making new adventures.
His love and memory lives on in all of them.
