Obituary of Linda Lou Brock

Linda Lou (Martin) Brock, 81, of Clinton, Mo., passed away Monday, August 31, 2020, at Windsor Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born July 23, 1939, in Centertown, Ky., daughter of Edwin N. and Dova (Tichenor) Martin. Linda married Donald Lee Brock on July 27, 1957. They moved to Clinton in the early 1970’s. Linda worked at Simes shoe store for several years and then went to work with the Clinton School District as a teachers’ aide. She always enjoyed running into former students, many who would give her a hug and tell her how much they loved her. Linda always greeted people with a smile and had time to talk to everyone. She was a member of Northeast Baptist Church and was very fond of her church friends. Linda loved her family and was particularly proud of her grandchildren and attended their events regularly. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dalton Martin, a sister Barbara Moorman and an infant brother Charles L. Martin. Linda is survived by her husband Donald, her daughter Donna (Marvin) Mothersbaugh of Clinton, her son David (Laurie) Brock of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and her daughter Lisa (Kevin) Miller of Clinton; her grandchildren Dillon Mothersbaugh, Cody (Jodi) Mothersbaugh and Lynzie (Calvin) Mothersbaugh, Chris (Ali) Williams, Tyler (Sarah) Brock and Evelyn (Jako) Torres Chico, Bret Miller, Lane Miller and Trey Miller; and 14 great grandchildren; her sisters, Joyce (Lyman) Barnes of Centertown, Shirley Sue (Jim) Hurt of Owensboro, and Mary (Norman) Starnes of Centertown. Graveside services and interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Englewood Cemetery. Services will be live streamed from Linda’s Tribute Page at www.bradleyhadley.com.
