I am so very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of growing up across the street from Jim and your family. He printed my wedding invitations 25 years ago and we stayed in touch off and on. I will always remember his smile and huge heart.

I'm gutted. I had just seen Jim at the Liberty Home Depot the Tuesday night before he passed. We talked and laughed for about a half hour in the parking lot. He was always up-beat and to me it seemed like he only had one mood and that was "happy". He was the easiest guy to talk to and get along with. I'm crushed. My thoughts are with his family and other friends who might have the honor of knowing him better than I did.

Deeply saddened by his loss. He loved to banter with me! Laughing one minute and ready to kill him the next, he had a great sense of humor and kept us laughing at work. The only time I had lunch with him was in his car, eating all the junk food he had stored in it, lol and I am a health nut, thought I would die! He always had a smile on his handsome face, and a joke before he left. He will be missed so much. Your family is in my prayers.

In my youth, my brothers and I were sometimes "forced" to spend time with the children of our parents best friends. Most of the time we considered this much more than just an inconvenience. Pretty much outright dread. Unless we were going to the Browns. Jimmy, Timmy and Chris provided us with numerous fond memories. Some of which will not be spoken of. But as a child you get to meet the "heart" of another child. How they treat others, are they fair and kind. Even though I haven't seen him in over 40 years, I knew Jim was destined to be an outstanding man because his heart was in the right spot. Placed there by fantastic parents and kept in place by a loving family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends.

I knew him as 'Jimmy' when we were young kids. My brothers and his were friends and we enjoyed being at their home - it was always a treat to see them. The movie 'War of The Worlds' was a favorite of ours and he and I seemed to just 'FIND' hidden money around their homes yard and in the strangest places! We had no clue as to how it got there! Wow, 40+ years have gone by and it's very hard to believe that he has now past into the 'Great Unknown' - except, he and I DO know where he shall reside for Eternity. Until I see you again Friend & Brother! Bill

My heart went out to your family for the loss of Jim. I loss my mother over 10+ years ago. But I found comfort in these few scriptures. I hope they find comfort for you during this difficult time.
Psalms 37:9,-11,29 9 For evil men will be done away with,j
But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth.k
10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more;l
You will look at where they were,
And they will not be there.m
11 But the meek will possess the earth,n
And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance
29 The righteous will possess the earth,i
And they will live forever on it.j
Please look up these scriptures in your own copy of the Bible. It will give you confidence you will see Jim again under righteous condition where he is no longer sick but restored youth and healthy. If you enjoyed reading about this hope, you can read more of God's great plans for our future at www.jw.org

Jeanne Strange

My condolences to Beverly, Bob, Chris, Tim, Lauren, Jessie, Ashley and Robbie. I was heartbroken to hear of Jim's death.
Jim was a treasure which I was lucky to have found early in life and he left me with a stamp on my heart that I will carry forever. Over the years that have passed I think of him often as I wear a pendant every week, which he gifted me during our time together. We loved each other deeply and I learned a lot from him and I hope he learned from me as well. These are some of the l life lessons I learned from my many years with Jim: I learned to love and to forgive, no matter others faults; accept others no matter their status or history; give to others with no intention of receiving in return; save money for a rainy day; value what you do for a living and you will always be happy AND most importantly: value TIME with our family and friends, as TIME is the most valuable asset on earth.
I regret I will not be able to attend the services you have planned.

I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. One encouraging thought you might find comforting is found at John 5:28, 29. “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” God gives us this beautiful hope that he will soon resurrect our dead loved ones and we can see them again on a paradise earth! I hope this promise brings you comfort as it does me.

We have lots of good memories of Jim.
Whenever our family went to the lake the highlight was to go by Jim's place to see if he was home. There was never a dull moment when Jim was around.
