Obituary of Jo Cox

Jo Ann (Crowe) Cox, 61, of Clinton, Missouri died Thursday evening, March 15, 2018 at her home.

 

She was born September 22, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of William Frederick Crowe, Sr., and Betty Jane (Jackman) Crowe. She married Gary Dean Cox, Sr., on July 1, 1978 in Chilhowee, MO. He survives of the home.

 

Jo Ann was employed with Rival Manufacturing for 26 1/2 years, and later worked for Schreiber Foods-Clearfield for 12 years, retiring as a heavy utility break runner. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Clinton Restoration Branch. She enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, garage sales, collecting antiques, Denim Days, Wizard of Oz memorabilia, Precious Moments keepsakes, Boyds Bears, working in her vegetable and flower gardens and decorating for the various holidays. Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends, and spoiling her grandkids.

 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Gary Dean Cox, Jr., and wife Drusilla, Clinton, MO; one daughter, Heather Jo Powell and husband Matt, Pittsburg, MO; seven grandchildren, Katelyn Sutton, Alexis Cox, Taylor Kirk, Marcus Powell, Elijah Powell, Julieann Powell and Toriana Powell; one brother, Bill Crowe, Jr., and wife Kathy, Barneveld, Wisconsin; one sister, Theresa Kay Dill and husband Jack, Buffalo, MO; half-brother, Mike Crowe and wife Kathleen, Jacksonville, FL; half-sister, Diana Douglas and husband Joe, Oak Hill, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in the Englewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Church of Jesus Christ Clinton Restoration Branch. These donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
