Don D. Reeves, 87, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday morning, October 21, 2020 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Mo. He was born to Charles Wesley Reeves and Minnie Lou (Rothrock) Reeves on September 22, 1933 in Snyder, Texas. He married Lavon H. Hall on April 29, 1978 in Reno, Nevada. She survives of the home. Don served his country for nearly 25 years with the United States Army. He served in the Korean War and Vietnam War, receiving three purple hearts during his tours. He was a Staff Sergeant for the 7th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, California for 20 years, retiring in 1979. He then was employed as a water system specialist in Palmdale, Ca. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, Greenfield, Mo., and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and collecting knives. In addition to his wife, surviving are four sons, Farrell Reeves, Chandler, Arizona, Jack Reeves, Fritch, Texas, Wesley Hutcheson, Warrensburg, Mo., and Boyd Hutcheson, Montgomery Creek, Ca.; one daughter, Rene Willard, Aberdeen, South Dakota; nine grandchildren, Jenny Reavis, Becky Swihart, Jackie Renee Reeves, Misty Hutcheson, Michael Hutcheson, Michelle Days, Shane Willard, John Edwards and Rebecca Hutcheson; great-grandchildren, Fletcher Swihart, Piper Swihart, Barret Swihart, Jillian Reavis, Gray Reavis and Aubree Rittman. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jane Divillin. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo. Services under the direction of the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.
