David L. Lindell, 85, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Saturday night, December 14, 2019 at the Westwood Living Center in Clinton.
He was born May 11, 1934 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Carl G. Lindell and Eva Pearl (Mitchell) Lindell. He married Deloris Minick on August 19, 1968, and she preceded him in death April 13, 2007.
David graduated from the University of Nebraska with his Doctorate Degree in Agronomy. He was a county agent for the University of Missouri Extension office in Henry County for 30 years. He attended the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and Drakes Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening and tinkering with his cars. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving are two step-sons, Karl D. Paxton, Lakewood, Colorado and Jon M. Paxton, Veneta, Oregon; two grandsons, Michael Paxton and Matthew Paxton; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Frieda A. Hall, Osceola, Iowa; niece, Sharon Jones and her husband Jeff; nephew, Stephen Paxton and his wife Carol; brother-in-law, Joe Minick and his wife, Helen, their children, Kristine Sommers and Daniel Minick; great nieces and nephews, cousins, Charlie Lindell, Vernon Lindell and Ruth Winterscheidt; and special friend, Ron Martinez. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Paxton.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., just prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Abilene Cemetery, Abilene, KS.
