Allen L. Homan, 72, of Clinton, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away Sunday morning, March 17, 2019 at his home. He was born December 31, 1946 in Salina, Kansas, the son of Harold Francis Homan and Sylvia Claire (Johnson) Homan.
He married Pamela Kay Merideth on July 5, 2006 in Paola, KS, and she survives of the home.
Allen was employed with American Can Company, then went to work for General Motors in the paintless dent removal department. He retired April 1, 2009 after 33 years of service with General Motors. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local 31, Kansas City, KS. Allen enjoyed watching the History channel, studying alien life form, collecting elephant art, traveling and tinkering with hot rods. Allen was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1970. He was a Specialist Fourth Class, receiving the Soldier of the Month of the Army's 101st Airborne Division.
In addition to his wife Pamela, surviving are two sons, Shad Lee Homan and his wife Jennifer, Overland Park, KS and Travis Allen Homan, Overland Park, KS; one granddaughter, Emmalee Claire Homan; two step-daughters, Nicki Jean Ebert and her husband Todd, Gladstone, MO and Lindsey Diane Wakefield, Independence, MO; one step-son, James Caleb Tooley and his wife Crystal, Cuba, MO; one brother, David Homan and his wife Anita, Gladstone, MO; one sister, Joyce Elaine Davis, Mosby, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life and visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Cremation will follow. Military services will be at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home under the direction of the Clinton Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1894. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.
