Obituary of Larry Minton
Larry Dean Minton, 72, of Clinton, Missouri died Wednesday morning , May 24, 2017 at the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Mo.
He was born August 4, 1944 in West Frankford, Illinois, the son of Robert Lee Minton and Annabelle (Benton) Minton.
He married Teresa Kay Davis on April 14, 1979 in Aiken, South Carolina. She survives of the home.
Larry was employed as a coal miner with United Mine Workers of America. He later was employed as union electrician with Capital Electric. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #453 in Springfield, Mo. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Richard David Minton, Camdenton, Mo., John Michael Pierson and wife Regina, Springfield, Mo., Robert Christopher Minton and wife Stacey, Blue Springs, Mo., Matthew Alexander Minton and wife Cassandra, San Diego, California, and Nicholas Lawrence Minton, Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters, Mary-Elizabeth Anne Minton, Clinton, Mo., and Angela Victoria Marie Hannah and husband Duel, Osceola, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, Sean Babcock, Margaret Bailey Thibedaux, Joshua Minton, Dylan Blanton, Anthony Pierson, Stephen Pierson, Stacy Guthrie, Jason Pirtle, Robert Austin Lee Minton, Xander Dean Minton, Isabella Rose Minton, Connor Minton, Madelyn Reid, Greyson Reid, Ryker McCall Hannah, and Adalind Marie Hannah; 5 great-grandchildren, Jessa, Trey, Caroline, Noah, and Easton; and one sister, Marsha Lynn Horsley, Orlando, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
